STRESS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
Training will be used to facilitate a discussion group within the organization to determine what the specific issues are in the workplace that is giving rise to conflict and stress. It has a very personal slant which means that it focuses on the following:
How stress affects the individual participants and allows each participant to assess; how stress affects them and the organization locally; what they can do to manage stressful situations; how to alleviate personal stress and stress within teams and how to cope with external factors that cause stress on individuals and teams.

How do you cope with stress - Post worksheet discussion - identifying what aspects could be
altered to alter the stress experience

1. Introduction
Why pressure occurs, the unique stresses involved. How pressure can be positive and why it can lead to stress unless properly managed.
2. Stress
Defining stress, how the body responds, sources of stress in the workplace and its signs amongst staff.
3. Your thoughts
How your thoughts and your perspective can influence stress, and how to control it in order to reduce pressure.
4. Your responses
How your response to pressure influences your stress levels; tips for controlling your responses to time, workload, change, people, conflict and yourself.
5. Your lifestyle
How your lifestyle can limit or increase stress; tips for staying fit, healthy and relaxed, and getting help and support when required.
6. Getting results
To get results you need to recognize stress, know how to apply first aid (mental and physical) and aim to prevent rather than cure; identify your stress levels with the stress test.
7. Stress in your organization
How to ensure youre not a source of pressure at work on others, how to help others and how to encourage a low stress culture.
